Hard to find vinyl anymore unless it’s specially requested by the artist (such as country music’s shooter jennings or Pearl Jam)
I occasionally dust off my vinyl to listen to stuff I bought during the end of vinyl…. Doobie Brothers "china grove" on a mint record sounds 100 times better than on cd (it’s sounds more alive..it’s hard to describe but on cds like Lynyrd Skynyrd’s "Sweet Home Alabama" on the begining count, you can hear the air as he counts cut out do to the digital process.. something not heard on a 33 1/3)

I have hundreds of old vinyl records in original sleeves and allot of 45’s. How do I go about finding a collector or someone interested in buying them. I have records from the 40’s to the late 80’s.
I have tryed e-bay but I am not having much luck unless I am doing it wrong. Any ideas?
try a local antique store. u can also try Craig’s list.

I have a bunch of 20-30+ y/o vinyls and would like to sell them but am unsure as to their value if any.
antiques roadshow!!! Jk, but I bet if you get a phone book, you could look up a guy who could give you a estimate. Or, go to your insurance company and ask for good places and say you want to get it insured.

I’m not sure but perhaps you’ll be successful in doing so on E-Bay. Maybe putting an ad in your local newspaper would be a good idea.
Good luck!

I was wondering if anyone knew a site or something where you can buy vinyls for a good price. thanks!
I usually find some good ones at Goodwill and other thrift stores and local record shops.

You need a digital turntable. One of the best known is this Technics DZ1200 model that sells for about $1000 (a lot more expensive than CD players!): http://www.panasonic.com/consumer_electronics/technics_dj/prod_intro_sldz1200.asp
Other brands that I can think of are Numark and Stanton. You can search for them under "digital turntable". Usually you have to buy online as most B&M stores don’t carry them.

i plan to used them as invitations
Can you buy used ones from a Donation/Goodwill place? The reason I’m suggesting this is that it may not be impossible to get blank ones they are going to be difficult to find.
