What sort of music is most likely to be bought?

i spend waaaaaaay to much money on old vinyl

mainly rock n roll, rockabilly, surf, punk and ska

no one ever buys perry como thou, cos theres always loads of that in every 2nd hand store and charity shop in england!

I don’t see this capability in the software but maybe it’s there and I just haven’t found it yet. The predecessor product, MusicMatch Jukebox Plus had a ‘recorder’ option where one could select the input source to the sound card, but again, I don’t see that here.

for sound quality? a lot of artists these day make their music available on limited editions of Vinyl as well as C.D.

I was a kid in the 80’s and most of my first albums were on vinyl. Although I no longer have a player, I keep them for sentimental value not to listen to them as I have replaced most with cd’s
I think the sound quality is much better on cd, the records always had a scratchy sound to them.
I assume the vinyl released now days is more of a collectors edition type of thing.

if you know of any record stores, would/do they sell online?
use to have a new/used vinyl store in my town "Full Cyrcle" but the owner retired and closed the store

I’m pretty sure you don’t need an amp if you have a pre-amp. They both do the same thing. You need to figure out that part of it before you worry about which speakers. Your best bet is to get help from Best Buy or a local electronics store.

Do newer songs still come on those vinyl records? If they do, where are they available?

Yes some do, and it depends on what genre music you are looking for as to where you can find them.

What the difference between 12inch and 7 inch vinyl records? does it play differently? can it be played on any record player?

the 12 inch records play at 33.5 rpm and the 7 inch records play at 45 rpm, both can be played on any record players if they have the speed configuration.

I’m just wondering if anyone could tell me any good places to buy vinyl records online. I’m really looking for classic records from the 60’s, etc, and I can’t seem to find any shops around my area. I have tried search engines to find sites which sell records, but I’m just too lazy to trawl through them all looking for what I want at a good price. If anyone knows of any websites which sell records at reasonable prices that’d be great. Also, I’m looking into getting a new record player. Could anyone suggest one which is good quality but also not too expenive?

Vinyl tap’s not bad but can be a bit pricey, Record and tape exchange is okay, but it’s hard to finda decent online vinyl shop where the postage doesn’t make the price stupid, I’d suggest a good old fashioned trawl of a real record shop, it’ll waste a day and you’ll probably find more than you were after

I just played a couple of my records and there is a lot of popping. The stylus is brand new so it must be the records. A couple days ago I cleaned all of them using Windex because I read that you can clean them that way. However, I used the blue dye so that might have ruined them. Do you think that the reason for the popping is that the record is dirty or ruined?

It is probably the record. If you were to try and transfer this music to MP3, then you can get some recording software that gets rid of the noises from vinyl records. I use Pinnacle Plus Clean by Steinberg. It basically diminishes or minimizes the snapping, cracking or popping noises that a record will produce.
