Collecting classic vinyl records?

Author: admin  //  Category: new vinyl records

What albums would you say are a necessity to add to a vinyl collection? I already have a lot of stuff by the who, led zeppelin, queen, david bowie, and some random other ones. I’m going to a new record shop this weekend that’s supposedly really awesome and I’m making a list of what I want to look for! Thanks!

Seems you like the glam rock. Look for Velvet Underground, Cockney Rebel, Iggy Pop, Rolling Stones. I went to a record shop/ barber shop in Corpus Christi, Texas one time and I found a whole box of Velvet Underground and Lou Reed albums. The old man that owned the shop sold me the whole box for like 5 dollars, and it had some rare import albums in the mix. It is so exciting to find little treasures like that. Good luck!

is there a new vinyl set with all the beatles records in it?

I never find needs for new vinyl. Old, original vinyl is the best kind of records you can get. Worth the money.

Where can i buy vinyl records in Melbourne?

Author: admin  //  Category: buy vinyl records

I want to dj and i need a place to get vinyls

Thanks,

I have to tell you, eBay is the best place on earth to find vinyl.

NO store will have what you can find there.

I am a collector and have found killer deals on records you couldn’t find in a million years in a store.

The trick is to not bid more than what you think would be a great price.

If you don’t win the auction, there will be another soon enough.

Be patient and persistent, and before you know it you will have the best collection of vinyl to spin of anyone you know.

It’s true!

Where can you find molds of vinyl records?

I want to try an experiment and make records from hardened chocolate. Any clue where I can find molds to pour the chocolate into?

Here’s the vid of a guy who actually did it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVM18iJTMZs

You make your own mold – create a casting from an existing record. You can use plaster are something similar. When that dries, there you have it – a vinyl record mold.

What is the best USB Turntable to buy if I want to convert my vinyl records to mp3?

Author: admin  //  Category: new vinyl records

I am new at collecting records so I am unsure as to what brand is good at converting.

Ultimately, the best USB turntable is the one you make yourself out of an excellent analog turntable.

Most USB turntables are in the $100 range. That’s adequate for a CD player but awful for a turntable.

DJ USB turntables are the next step up. However, they need to be properly outfitted to sound the best and not be too rough on your vinyl.

Finally, there is one "audiophile" USB turntable- the Pro-Ject Debut III USB at around $500. It is the best USB turntable in terms of it specifications.

There are many analog turntables that cost less than the Pro-Ject and have better specs. However, it’s up to you to make them digital. There are boxes under $100 that turn any analog turntable into a USB turntable.

That’s a quick summary. I invite you to read more on my USB turntable buying guide.

Im in London and was wondering if there’s any places where i could sell them? Thanks

There are second hand record shops that should be able to take them. I remember there was a good one at Camden Lock, called Honest John’s.

roughly, what would be the inital costs of opening a new and used vinyl record shop?

also, what are the steps involved in opening a record store?
WHY IS IT THAT NO ONE EVER ACTUALLY ANSWERS THE QUESTIONS THAT I ASK?!?! I WASNT ASKING ABOUT AN ONLINE STORE OR OPENING UP IN MY GARAGE?!! I CLEARLY ASKED ABOUT OPENING A RECORD STORE!
