Try going on eBay and see what the titles are selling for on there. Remember, don’t just look at the asking price, watch the items until the sale ends and see how much items actually went for.

new vinyl records
I have an argument with a friend and would like to know the number of vinyl record that are being sold new to day and what % of total sales they account for so I can prove I am right. I don’t know what the % is but I know it is way more than 0.1% which he says it is.
actually it’s NOT. 99.9% of cds aren’t even pressed into vinyl now, only 12" and remixes are.

old vinyl records
i recently inherited some old vinyl records from the 80s.
they were in a box, usually just in the paper or cardboard cover that they were stored in 20 years ago.
they are really dusty in the center where the label is but the dust isn’t normal dust. it doesn’t all come off with a swipe of the finger.
how do i clean my old records at home in a SAFE way that won’t damage the records?
The above answer is correct with using a specific vinyl record cleaning system, but, if the dust/dirt is excessive the records can be GENTLY washed in lukewarm running water with a gentle detergent. Rinse well, and GENTLY pat dry with a soft dry, lint free cloth and then store.
Check this site:http://www.instructables.com/id/Cleaning-Vinyl-Records/
Good Luck!
PS Some records are valuable, especially if they are playable with pristine album covers eg ‘The Go Betweens’ and other 80’s indie groups.

I’ve tried a few sites that will send an appraisal for a $2 fee. The record may not even be worth that much. is there a website that you can get info of values for free?
I would just check prices off eBay and see how much similar items are going for, it usually works pretty well for that sort of thing since online price guides usually cost money to view

I only buy vinyl.
In fact, I don’t think I’ve listened to a CD straight through in a long time….

I am wanting to make homemade vinyl record clocks but im not sure what kind of paint to use on the vinyl surface. I am wanting to coat the whole thing as well as paint numbers on them.
The first link can be interesting to you. The second is the link for the paint to use and I would check out the the part that says "Apply a heavy first coat (it will appear wet)."
