I have about 200 old records in their jackets. I was wondering what to do with them.
I would donate them to a thrift store like Goodwill or Salvation Army. I like looking for old records at places like that.
I know there were 78s 45s 33 1/3
I’m sure there was another size between the 78s and 33 1/3 but can’t for the life of me remember it unless it was a larger size 78 I remember it being a thick heavy vinyl. If you tried to bend it, it would break easy.

The 78 rpm record were the thick large size they came out in the early to mid 1930’s I believe My Grandfather had some in his collection many years ago before his death in 1975 Next size is the 33 1/3 rpm those came out in the early to mid 1950’s and were phased out in the mid to late 1980s when CDs came out on the market I had A Collection of 33 1/3 rpm then th 45 rpm those were out from late 1950s to late 1970’s to mid 1980s
They have music on them that dates back to the early 1700’s i was wondering if theirs some where i can look them up and see how much their worth. They have composers like Ceaser Franck and others.

It’s all about supply and demand. There are many, many old classical record albums floating around, but there is no market for them.
I have a number of old vinyl LP’s, some picture discs and coloured vinyls, and wanted to get them appraised but don’t have enough time to search out a reputable dealer in the high street. So was hoping there might be a website you can input the album, or single’s, name and it comes up with a realistic price. Has to be a UK site though.

i have really old Mozart CD’s and im wondering how much they’re worth and i’ll be selling them on ebay or/and craigslist.if u say too low amount just to get it i know your name!and i know it’s should be over $150 or over $200. remember im watching u!!!!!!!!!
Well, first of all, are they vinyl records or CDs?
For vinyl, expect about a dollar, depending on condition. Vinyl LPs are not really worth anything unless they are still in the original shrinkwrap and have never been played.
I have made a few bowls out of old records by melting them in the oven but i wondered if there were any other things i could make using them.

If you want to sell a box full of records, your best bet is local buyers. No one’s gonna want buy a box of records mainly because of the shipping costs. And most will want to pick and choose anyway, local or not. Most buyers will only pay far below market value, whether they are having it shipped or looking thorugh your box locally. If that’s cool with you, then you can probably make a few dollars.
If you want the most bang for your buck, it’ll take time and research. It depends on how much effort you want to put into it. Just remember that jacket and vinyl condition is everything. This web page has articles and videos that may help you figure out how you want to go about this.

I recently discovered (after making 2 [gorgeous] things) that those really smelly fumes coming off my records were cancerous, but then again everything is. Anyways, I got some dust masks and plan on moving my fan into my work area, but are there any other tips anyone has to share? Thanks.

Going outside isn’t a bad idea..
Build a fume hood or take the whole thing outside. A dust mask won’t do any good.
I have came upon a crate of records, including a couple Frank Sinatra, Liberace, Jimmy Swagart, A Bio of Jackqueline Kennedy, and many others. they are in really good condition – opened, but plastic still on, some with original price stickers on them – "on sale $1.34 – originally $4.58" or whatever the exact price is. If you need the exact album names and such – let me know. I’m just wondering if they are worth anything.
some vinyl records with mint sleeves are worth a lot of money
I found about 50 old vinyl records. Ranging from Elvis, Sonny and Cher Live, to Disneyland stories on record. Is there anywhere I can go to find a value of any of these? Im not trying to break the bank but im sure there are people out there that would appreciate it a lot more than myself.
